Sledding and Face Plants

Mama and Papa took the Girls on a sledding adventure, hitting Grandpa's backyard and an officially sanctioned sledding hill in the Lake County Forest Preserve - Highly recommend Lakewood sledding hill in Wauconda, if you are an experience sledder!  Papa took C down the first time at bionic speed, leaving her face covered in a powder of cold white snow.  The poor child was  seriously scarred the rest of the visit and did not participate any further.  We had a few other good sledding moments, however, which are below.

Grandpa's ever-so-slight sloped backyard did the trick for the Girls' sledding adventure.

The Girls, Caroline here, like to make snow angels.  The problem is that they are so light that there is just a whisper of an angel when they're done.

V was very proud of her solo decsent.

C snuggling w/ Mama in bed before sledding.

C is all geared up, including her high-water snow pants.  She apparently has grown about 6 inches since last winter.

Papa pulled the Girls around the yard in the sled and got a little crazy through a turn,  leading to  C and V taking a face plant in the snow.  This is an attempt to comfort them afterward and convince them that Papa would go slow next time.

Yogurt, blueberry, banana and spinach shakes, or batidos en espanol.

3 sleds like this shipped to our door via Amazon Prime.

Big money maker if someone can come up with a mitten/glove that actually stays on and fits a toddler's hand.  These gloves have a knack of falling off.
