Off To The Ball

Papa earned the Super Dad Award today and took Victoria and Caroline to the Fairy Princess Ball.  The Girls and all of the attendees wore their finest Princess attire and had a chance to meet some of the most famous princesses of all.  They were a little shy at first, but eased into the royal limelight and had a great time.

Papa and his two stunning Princess dates get ready to go to the Ball.

V and C were stoic models when getting their faces painted by Sleeping Beauty.

A moment with Snow White and Prince Charming.   Caroline's face says "Is Snow White really behind me?!"
When we left, the Girls insisted on giving hugs to Snow White and Cinderella.

The Girls were very happy to see Cinderella at the Ball.

V was delighted to get a pink flower on her cheek.

The other night, Caroline had hit her head and Victoria came over with an "Owie Friend" and also offered her sister a kiss on the forehead.

"That's Amazing! [Easter]

The Girls 2014 Easter celebrations peaked with a couple more egg hunts, including one on Easter Sunday in their backyard with 75 degree sunny weather!  They had a great time preparing for Easter and were experts and tracking down eggs by the end of it all.

Any fear of the Easter Bunny as subsided as the Girls stood in line 2x to take a photo and hug the floppy-eared bunny.

The hunt was on at the Park Ridge South Park easter egg hunt.  Contained to the tennis courts, the 3 and under crowd did just fine.  Timid at first, Caroline got the hang of it, but was disappointed she didn't have more eggs when it was all over.

Their harvest!

A little brisk Saturday morning, but a nice warm photo w/ Mama!
"That's Amazing!", is what Caroline said when she opened her Easter present to discover the Frozen movie.

Waiting for our company to arrive, Papa placed the girls up in our front tree, which they got a kick out of.

Plenty of treats and goodies for the Girls.

V taking her turn up in the tree.

C V and their cousin, Evelyn, checking our Mama's lamb cake, a perennial appearance in the Puccini Family Easters.

Now this is Amazing!...(3) three-year-olds all simultaneously posing for a Easter photo!

Oh, and don't forget about Friday night with their cousin "Baby Charlie", who joined the Girls on the couch for a little showtime.  He also entertained Papa and Mama by doing some potty impressions of his father!

Easter Egg Coloring

Caroline and Victoria did a great job coloring eggs for the Easter Bunny.  They were very meticulous with the task!  Johnny H's cooking aprons came in handy again.

C loved to dip her eggs in the "Verde" dye....

....and the Pink dye.

Papa had to occasionally direct traffic and prevent bowls of dye from getting thrown off the table.

C continued to pursue her coloring passion, while V applied the stickers on her fingers.

Papa made an extra egg dipper our of a hanger for V, but she insisted on using her hand most of the time.

Competition in the Verde bucket

Nightime reading.  The Girls really do love books.  V's favorite book tonight was Corduroy.

C read some Care Bear books.  "I like Care Bears" she says.  Papa also read her an Easter book that had jelly beans and Caroline said "I love jelly beans.......AND BAGELS!".  She is also holding her Easter Bunny that Areli gave each of them for Easter.  When its belly is pressed, it makes a 'hopping noise' and says "Happy Easter".

The Acceptance Letter

It's official!  C and V received their acceptance letter to the preschool program at Mary Seat of Wisdom.  When we read them the letter, they jumped up and down for joy and yelled, "Thank you Mama, thank you Papa, thank you sooooo much!!!"

Another night, Papa literally got roped into giving C and V horsie rides.  !Pobre Papa!

The Bunny

What a difference a year makes! Last year's Easter Bunny terror turned into adoration this year!  The girls (and Grandpa) couldn't wait to meet the fuzzy guy.

The money shot

The Starting Line
V was cool as a cucumber, but C was very anxious about how it was all going to go down.  Every time there was an announcement, C wanted me to repeat it for her (multiple times).

One of the multitudes of "treats"
Both girls vowed to give the Easter Bunny a hug.  Luckily, they had a chance at the end of the egg hunt.
