4 Peas in a Pool

Caroline, Victoria, Dominic, and April in the baby pool.  Nice and cozy.
This morning The Girls had their first Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, along w/ some peaches.  At one point, Caroline had an entire fistful of pancake pieces in her mouth.  She liked 'em!
Yesterday, The Girls took a monster afternoon nap and awoke nice and hungry, so we fed them al fresco b/c the weather was so nice.  Caroline is having some fun here w/ Brooke;   Both C & V are beginning to enjoy the old "hold the food over the edge and watch it drop" trick.
Victoria is always up for grabbing a nose or eye!
We took a boat ride and then went for a swim.  Victoria enjoyed looking overboard during the ride and Caroline almost melted into the seat next to Brooke as she was lulled into a daze.

Victoria is still a Pro at blowing her Raspberries.
Who does this look like?

Is it my turn yet?

The good thing about having one crawler is that our bath routine has become a bit easier.  C gets in first and then V crawls her way over so that she can join the fun!

Wiggle It!

We started the Weekend at Wiggle Worms Saturday morning.  We were the first babies in the classroom, so Victoria and Caroline got a private tudor session from the musician.  There were 5 babies in total, none of which were crawling, but Victoria, so she had her run of the room!

Saturday afternoon, we went over to some friends for a cook-out.  Here are the Girls playing with Charlie, who is just a few weeks older than them, but he is a Man on a Mission....with 8 teeth to boot.  Note all 3 of them have a toy in or by their mouths.
After a trip to the neighborhood pool, we came back home for a nap (2.5 hours btw).  The Girls awoke hungry, so we brought them outside to the patio to eat w/ us.
While we were in CA, the Girls enjoyed eating outside, so we thought the change of pace at home would be good too.  It wasn't too hot, so we all sat outside;  Mom/Dad enjoyed some grilled pizza and The Girls had edamame, chicken, and cheese!

A brief time to play after dinner.
 Caroline examining the shaker.
An example of Victoria on the run.  She is definitely covering all the square footage at this point and has a special affection for the HVAC vents in the floor.

From The Lake to The Ocean

Both Caroline and Victoria had enough of the activities for the day at Bang's Lake.  Here they are sitting w/ the Elle and Aidan.  Elle doesn't quite understand why Caroline is so upset; and Aidan is just way too cool to even care!
Here is Victoria w/ her cousins, April and Dominic.  Looks like Dominic just wants his Daddy.

And then we were off to San Diego where Caroline and Victoria spent an amazing week with Elsie(above) and her older sister, Kiera.  Basically, Caroline and Victoria were real-life dolls for Elsie and Kiera all week.  They were a far better source of entertainment than Mom and Dad have ever been!
Here is Kiera holding Caroline.  Both Kiera and Elsie were bright-eyed each morning knowing they would see the Twins.  By the end of the trip Keira and Elsie were helping w/ everything, except diaper changes :)
We also met California Caroline, one of Mom & Dad's friends who married the same weekend.  She is an avid surfer, so we took the opportunity to plop the Girls on one of her surf boards.  Overall, the Girls were less excited about the powerful Pacific Ocean than they were w/ the Bay off of Cape Cod earlier in the Summer.  However, they both still love to eat sand by the fistful!
Back at the Skelly's, the older kids had a bike race arranged by Mr. Skelly.  Here is Victoria trying on one of the bike helmets.
Well Girls, you can't ever say that we didn't take you to Sea World.  In fact, you both seemed to really enjoy the jumping dolphins and the Big Shamu.

Yoga, Ducky, & Friends

While most of us lose 80% of our flexibility as we age, it is amazing to see how we all started out.  Here is Victoria exploring one of her new positions that she has discovered during her early-crawl stage.

V is getting braver and braver.  She ended up sitting under this table and getting stuck.

Caroline was in need of some individual attention, so we decided to give her her own Rubber Ducky to sit in while Victoria played alongside her.

Mom had a playdate, which allowed The Girls to meet a couple new friends.  Here is Caroline and Eden (same age as C & V), but she is already almost walking.  What a cutie!

.....And here is Emmett, the luckiest 7 month old boy in the Chicago; He was able to spend the day w/ (3) 9 month old girls AND their mothers!  He looks like he has it all figured out!

Baptism

A belated Congrats to Caroline and Victoria on their Baptism, which took place June 26th.  Also a big thanks to their Godparents, Kristin & Quinn (Caroline) and Chris & Stephanie (Victoria).
